One of the 12 Districts of Panem, District 9, was well know for grain harvesting. The district mainly gather and produce grain for bread. Although there wasn't much info on this district, Kantiss has a intimate close encounter in the game. Kantiss had a close encounter with the male tribute of district 9 trying to grab the same bag at the beginning of the game. However, he was killed before grabbing the bag with a knife in the back. On the 74rth hunger games event both tribute died near the beginning.
