District 12

District 12 known as an area of industry that specialize in mining ores and coal. District 12, also nicknamed as Seam, is one out of eleven other districts that resides in the country Panem.The citizens of  Seam are in  poverty, families and workers starve everyday. Katniss and Gale, who lives in District 12, sneaks out to hunt in the near by forest for herbs, meat, and berries in attempt to satisfy the people and their family from hunger. During the reaping for the Hunger Games Event, Katniss volunteered for her sister, Primrose, and Peeta were selected as tributes.
